Founder Journey: Passion to BEES AND BLINGS

Jewelry is more than just an accessory—it’s an expression of confidence, beauty, and power. And my journey of creating BEES AND BLINGS is a testament to that belief.

It all started with a DREAM.

After completing my graduation from Indraprastha College, Delhi University, alongside a three-year diploma in animation from MAAC, I spent five years in Delhi, also working as a full time graphic designer at MHONE Channel in 2008 for just 8 months.My career was not on track as job was something not meant for me and also life had different plans—I got married in 2009 and moved to Meerut.

The transition was not easy. My passion for working and financial independence never faded, but opportunities for graphic designers in a small city were limited. Determined to do something of my own, I took up a teaching job in 2011. However, long hours and little pay made me realize that this wasn’t where my heart was.

That’s when fate intervened.

A simple experiment—reselling a few earrings on WhatsApp—turned into something much bigger. Encouraged by the response, I decided to take a leap of faith. I resigned from my job, sourced raw materials from the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk, sadar delhi,and started designing handmade beaded hoop earrings and malas, despite having no formal training in jewelry design,learnt youtube tutorials,learning from a friend and that passion grew into pure determination of building my own brand.

 Brand that is not only the curation of jewelry pieces but mix curation and creation of those jewelry pieces that truly resonates to the story and emotion of the woman who wear it.

On May 22, 2011, Maahi Jewelz was born the first name of the brand which started. BEES AND BLINGS is more than a jewelry brand—it's a story of resilience, passion, and new beginnings. What started as a small dream in Meerut grew into a trusted name, reaching customers across India and beyond. When the pandemic, personal loss, and setbacks challenged everything I had built, I chose to begin again. Inspired by a simple moment of hope while watching my son chase a butterfly, BEES AND BLINGS was born. Today, we create bold statement jewelry that empowers women to feel confident, glamorous, and unapologetically themselves.
